Geo-tagging technology makes it quick and easy for team leaders to see where brand ambassadors are to redeploy them if necessary.

Specialist staffing agency Blackjack Promotions reports that it has invested in the latest smartphone ‘geo-tagging’ technology, to improve staff deployment and return on investment (ROI) for its clients.

Ensuring that brand embassadors are delivering activity in the right place at the right time is key to successful ‘experiential’ activity, according to Blackjack Promotions.

Developed by AXLR8, the app integrates with the company’s booking and rostering system via the smartphones used by staff.

It records when staff clock in and out and feeds back to both Blackjack’s booking system and accounts team, so staff can be paid in full and on time, says the firm.

The new app also allows team leaders to quickly locate brand ambassadors, and redeploy them if necessary.

Blackjack Promotion’s investment in ‘geo-tagging’ technology allows the agency to ensure that brand ambassadors are deployed efficiently.

Management can see if there are enough employees on duty throughout a campaign in order to ‘cope with any last-minute staff sickness or absence’, explains Nikki Fisher, Head of Staffing at Blackjack Promotions.

The system allows the agency to provide extensive reports on brand ambassador activity to clients too, including proof of delivery through images.

For example, the Android version of the app lets staff take pictures, which are automatically time and date stamped, says Blackjack.

According to Fisher, the new system offers several benefits: “Our new app will save our team valuable time spent making sure staff are where they need to be.

“It will also allow us to rapidly deploy them if need be, significantly improving our efficiency and responsiveness.

“Finally, it will help us reassure our clients that we are delivering the best possible service,” she adds.
