Bottega adds six new scents to Parco Palladiano portfolio

Coty-owned Bottega Veneta is adding to its Venetian Parco Palladiano unisex collection of fragrances with the addition of six new scents numbered as such: X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV.
The new collection, which launched into the European travel retail market in July will be rolled out to Asia in August and the Americas in September and will carry an RRP of £190/€225.3/$240.
As with the initial collection of men’s and women’s scents launched in September 2016, the Palladian gardens of the Veneto, the Republic of Venice in Italy, continue to inspire the creators. “[They] present a vision of nature shaped by mankind, and of culture sublimated by nature,” says the Italian fashion, accessories and fragrances brand.
“Designed by sixteenth-century Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, the villas and their gardens offer a dream of life in which classical architecture merges with the surrounding landscape, in perfect balance.
FOUNDED IN 1966
“Bottega Veneta’s Parco Palladiano collection of fragrances draws inspiration from an idyllic stroll through these incomparable gardens. From its inception, the Parco Palladiano collection has represented a vision rooted in the Veneto, where Bottega Veneta was founded in 1966, a place where timeless design sits in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings.”

The new collection, which launched into the European travel retail market in July will be rolled out to Asia in August and the Americas in September.
Bearing the name of the key note in each composition, along with a Roman numeral, to honour the heritage of the Palladian villas, the fragrances are assorted into one of four botanical families; flowers, woods, herbs, and fruits, corresponding to different parts of the garden.
“Everyone should be able to come and experience the beauty of the Veneto region: it is where the house was born and it is the only place capable of conveying the type of beauty that is found in everything that we do at Bottega Veneta,” says fragrance Creative Director, Tomas Maier of his inspiration.
“It was a pleasure to create a series of fragrances that captured both the splendour of the Palladian villas, the unique balance and atmosphere of the Veneto region, and also the true values of Bottega Veneta itself.”
The collection comprises three ‘centenarian woods’: X Olivo (olive tree), XI Castagno (oak tree) and XII Quercia (chestnut tree).
THREE FRESH AND LUMINOUS SCENTS
These are complemented by three ‘fresh and luminous scents’ – XIII Quadrifoglio, XIV Melagrana and XV Salvia Blu – which feature ingredients found naturally in the Veneto region.
For these particular juices, Creative Director, Tomas Maier collaborated with world-renowned perfumers, Aurelien Guichard, Sidonie Lancesseur, and Quentin Bisch.
“Collaboration enables a creative dialogue, which is intrinsic to everything we do at Bottega Veneta,” adds Maier.
“With fragrances, it creates the stories that we tell through scents. There has been a natural evolution with Bottega Veneta’s scents. We started out with women’s fragrances, then we moved to men’s. Now we have the unisex collection of Parco Palladiano, and with them all we create a world, one that will always resonate together.”
