Each bottle is numbered to demonstrate rarity and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Beam Suntory has launched the limited edition Bowmore 1965 Precious Metals as a global travel retail exclusive.

Each of the four bottles sell for a RRP of $50,000, with the first bottle available in Taipei at a downtown duty free store.

Bowmore 1965 Precious Metals celebrates an important period in the evolution of the distillery in the 1960s, when some of the most admired Bowmore liquids were conceived.

Handcrafted oak boxes from Master craftsman John Galvin are a nod to the rich provenance of Bowmore’s home on the shores of Islay.

The boxes are adorned with a brass plaque made from the former spirit safe dating back to 1924.

Manuel González, Marketing Director Global Travel Retail at Beam Suntory, said: “We’re delighted to present the exquisite limited-edition Bowmore 1965 Precious Metals exclusively to global travel retail.

“Master craftsman John Galvin captured the essence of the Bowmore distillery and has a proven track record of designing incredibly desirable pieces for collectors. With only four bottles available worldwide, our customers are invited to get their hands on unique art that immortalises the Bowmore craftsmanship and celebrates the brand’s rich heritage.”

The bespoke, collectible handcrafted oak bottles capture more than 240 years of Bowmore heritage and will be available to travellers at airports in Dubai, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Amsterdam.

The releases stay true to the familiar fruity notes and deep flavour profile associated with Bowmore single malts and features bursts of fragrant fruits, sweet bees wax, intense dark chocolate, burnt heather and fresh spring flower.
