BREAKING: AsPac Travel Retail Awards finalists

The winners of the 2024 Asia Pacific Travel Retail Awards will be broadcast on in March.

TRBusiness and m1nd-set are pleased to announce today (19 February) the finalists in the consumer-voted 2024 Asia Pacific Travel Retail Awards (scroll below for the list in full).

The shortlist comprises the top rated products, CSR and promotional activities as voted by an exclusive panel of travelling consumers in the region.

For the uninitiated, all entries to the 2023 Global Travel Retail Awards were auto-enrolled into the 2024 Asia Pacific Travel Retail Awards (see down for the methodology behind the awards). will reveal the winners and highly recommended honours in a virtual ceremony due to take place in early March – click below to register.

The hugely popular regional iteration, which launched in 2021, thrusts Asia Pacific travelling shoppers’ purchasing habits firmly in the spotlight, proving highly instructive to buyers and suppliers alike.

Voted by Asia Pacific shoppers

Those that achieve finalist, winner and highly recommended status earn the right to display the revered ‘Voted by Shoppers’ logo on product packaging, at point of sale and promote this through their broader marketing activities, which in turn can help to drive incremental sales.

In recognising this year’s crop of finalists in an enhanced category lineup introduced for the 2023 Global Travel Retail Awards, the 2024 Asia Pacific Travel Retail Awards reaffirms the industry’s commitment to investing and innovating in unique products and services recognised for their value by consumers across the region.

The timing has never been more important, as Asia Pacific continues to claw back passenger traffic and sales following the turbulence of recent years in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Nigel Hardy and Janice Hook, Co-Owners and CEOs of TRBusiness, commented: “The quality of the entries and the resultant finalists that emerged in this year’s Asia Pacific Travel Retail Awards bodes well for the region’s steady recovery in global travel retail.

I was fascinated by how great certain products and initiatives are perceived in Asia Pacific. I personally think all industry stakeholders should take a good look and be inspired by what the winners have done right.”

How it works

As mentioned, all entries to the consumer-voted 2023 Global Travel Retail Awards gained automatic entry into the 2024 Asia Pacific Travel Retail Awards.

More than one fifth (22%) of consumers are more likely to purchase a product displaying the Travel Retail Awards ‘Voted by Shoppers’ finalist logo, according to research from m1nd-set.

Meanwhile, almost a third (31%) of consumers are more prone to buying products displaying the Travel Retail Awards ‘Voted by Shoppers’ winner logo.

Finalists achieving the highly recommended or winner accolades will be able to heighten their profile by switching to the respective logos for these achievements.

In order to assess the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Awards, m1nd-set analyses data gathered for the global awards, which were voted on by a panel of 2,000 international travelling consumers sourced from the company’s qualified database.

To generate the results, the Swiss research agency concentrates on the portion of data provided by consumers who are based in Asia Pacific to discover the buying inclinations of those travellers in the region.

By amplifying regional nuances in consumer purchasing behaviours, new opportunities emerge for brand exposure and development.
