And then there were two: Orange Kiss bolsters Brockmans Gin.

Brockmans Gin will showcase its latest Orange Kiss release at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. The brand will also unveil another significant new innovation during the course of the show week.

Brockmans is represented exclusively in global travel retail by spirits brand-building specialist JP-GTR (led by industry veteran Jean-Philippe Aucher), which is making its debut appearance as an exhibitor this year (Green Village, L60).

Growing the Properly Improper portfolio

Brockmans is well known for its Properly Improper gin, which combines traditional gin botanicals with more unusual and non-traditional ingredients.

Orange Kiss – Brockmans’ first release since 2008 – combines Valencia oranges with triple sec. Juniper and coriander seeds provide a balanced gin foundation. Cassia bark and Angelica root add an earthy, perfumed complexity. Almond oil contributes to the smooth finish.

Brockmans Orange Kiss (40% ABV) is said to be perfect for sipping neat, or for enjoying as a twist on classic gin cocktails.

The new release is presented in a tinted red-to-orange bottle, featuring Brockman’s distinctive crosshatch on the body, and its signature initial on the bottleneck. The RRP is £34 (US$43) for 70cl.

Brockmans Orange Kiss is already available in selected domestic markets, supported by a quirky ‘Kiss My… Sunset’ campaign.

Airport activations with Gebr. Heinemann

This year Brockmans has raised its profile in the travel retail channel through collaborations with a number of key retailers, including Gebr. Heinemann.

An activation at Frankfurt Airport in June and July has been followed by a tasting promotion at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, which will run until the end of September.

Brockman’s partnership with Gebr. Heinemann will continue in October and November at the travel retailer’s stores in Düsseldorf International Airport.

This year Brockmans has raised its profile in the travel retail channel through collaborations with a number of key retailers, including Gebr. Heinemann.

Brockmans Gin is available in Hamburg, Munich and Vienna airport, along with other selected international locations. The brand is present in European border stores with Travel Free, and in Argentina with London Supply. The latest Orange Kiss expression is also available in selected duty free stores in Spain and the Baltics.

“Brockmans has built an internationally growing fanbase of loyal consumers and advocates with just one expression thanks to its stand-out taste profile,” noted Brockmans Gin International VP Pierpaolo Indelicato. “Our ambition with Brockmans’ second expression, Orange Kiss, is to challenge perception as to what people think of flavoured gin.

“We have taken a common ingredient – orange – and twisted it to deliver a unique and elevated taste experience the ‘Properly Improper’ Brockmans way.”

He concluded: “Due to interest and market demand the roll-out in international markets is progressing faster than initially forecasted. We expect duty free retailers to match listing and availability by end of this year.”
