Chris Pfister to leave Villiger
By Doug Newhouse |
Chris Pfister, Villiger Sons Ltd’s long-serving Export Director, Asia, Russia, Middle East and Duty Free formally leaves the company this week after informing the company that he wishes to take early retirement.
According to a short note from Villiger Söhne GMBH & Villger Söhne AG Director Peter Witzke, Pfister is leaving to spend more time running his private company in the health care sector.
WELL REGARDED
Reflecting how well thought of Pfister is at Villiger, Witzke said: “We would like to thank Chris for his dedication to our business and wish him a lot of success in his future career.”
Witzke added that a succession plan will be launched immediately.
COMMENT: Chris Pfister has been a great supporter of the duty free tobacco sector and all of the ETRC’s efforts to protect it over the years. He has also never been afraid to speak out when confronted with issues which he considered unfair to the tobacco sector and/or the industry. His honesty and commitment to the business will be missed and we wish him well for the future.
