By Andrew Pentol |

Kathryn Place will assume the role of Commercial Head while President Garry Stasiulevicuis will focus on leading plans to bring a collaborative Travel Retail Point of Sale panel to market.
Counter Intelligence Retail (CiR) has announced that Kathryn Place will assume the role of Commercial Head effective 1 May 2018.
Place has held the position of Category Director with the company for six years, since joining in 2012.
In that time, she has led the team to work alongside prestigious brands, delivering category insights and activation plans to accelerate sales growth in the channel.
As CiR Commercial Head, Place will take on daily operational and commercial responsibilities and performance, reporting to President Garry Stasiulevicuis.
All CiR commercial leads will report in to Place and according to the company, the new business model will provide the right structure for continued growth, expertise and expansion to meet client demand.
POINT OF SALE PANEL FOCUS
Stasiulevicuis will take a step back from the daily running of CiR to focus on leading plans to bring a collaborative Travel Retail Point of Sale panel to market.
He said: “We’re making great progress with industry partners in making a global POS panel in travel retail a reality.
“I am excited about this journey and what it could mean for the industry. It’s fantastic to be driving positive discussions with all industry stakeholders.
“With support from parent company NPD we’re following a programme of continued investment to create this new data source”.
Leading a team of point of sale panel professionals, Stasiulevicuis also reveals the appointment of Simon Smith as Project Manager. “Simon joins us from a successful 17-year career at Asda-Walmart where he held a number of senior positions.
“He brings an outstanding knowledge of retail, from, merchandising and space to category management and extensive data analytics”.
