Clinique launches SPF Blemish Balm Cream
By Doug Newhouse |
Clinique originally formulated their Age Defense Blemish Balm Cream for the Asia travel retail market, but has since found that there is a global demand. Beauty brands worldwide have seen the potential of sun protecting solutions in a blemish balm formula not only for skincare perfectionists in Asia, but now also in Europe and the US.
Education about sun protection and the dangers of tanning, has improved enormously, triggering a new trend for even-toned and paler-looking skin, free from sun damage and wrinkles. Clinique claims that “this multi-tasking BB cream helps prevent the premature signs of ageing with UVA/UVB and environmental protection while immediately concealing imperfections.”
According to the skincare specialists, fine lines and wrinkles are visible reduced and skin is hydrated for a more youthful look. “Additionally, this perfecting cream helps balance skin and provides oil and shine control to extend the life of foundation all day long.”
THE TECHNOLOGY
Multi-polarised pigments including polymethysilsesquixane, silica and mica reflect light in order to conceal blemishes.
A combination of chemical sunscreens absorb UV rays and provide an SPF of 30 PA+++ (broad spectrum protection) and caffeine and glycyrrhetinic acid help to reduce skin irritation associated with internal and external stress.
Age Defense BB Cream SPF 30/PA+++ is available from July 2011 exclusively in travel retail at London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Galle, Frankfurt, Munich and Dubai Airports.
