Concha y Toro to present new skus and retail insight at TFWA World Exhibition

Concha-y-toroLatin American winemaker Viña Concha y Toro S.A. (Concha y Toro) arrives at the TFWA World Exhibition as a first-time exhibitor with three new wines from Bonterra Organic Vineyards.

The new range, which launched into US domestic markets in the summer, includes Sauvignon Blanc and Rose varietals plus newcomer Young Red in 250ml cans.

These are aimed at attracting new wine consumers to the category via the products’ eco-friendly and travel-friendly packaging, while satisfying increased demand for organic items.

SUPPORTING RETAIL GROWTH

“Expanding the appeal of wine with a ready-to-drink offer for areas such as cash tills, in-flight and arrivals stores reflects Viña Concha y Toro’s strategic approach to the travel retail channel. We are committed to bringing novelty and excitement that delivers exceptional value to shoppers and grows the total wine category.”

Sourced from Bonterra’s organic vineyards in California’s Mendocino, Lake and Sonoma counties, the grapes of all three varietals have been approved by the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF).

The 250ml Bonterra cans satisfy different consumption occasions.

“Bonterra cans are arriving at a time when consumers are more devoted than ever to organic products and conscientious consumption,” said Benjamin Mitarakis, Business Development Manager, Fetzer Vineyards.

“Perfectly portioned with eye-catching designs and a fresh burst of flavour, our Bonterra cans are the ideal refreshment for on-the-go travellers.”

FIRST TIME TFWE EXHIBITOR

Concha y Toro, which is exhibiting at TFWA Cannes for the first time this year, will present a diverse portfolio of wines to travel retail to help retailers accelerate their growth.

Earlier this year, Concha y Toro showcased its first ever travel retail exclusive range – The ‘Route of Cabernet Sauvignon’ from Casillero del Diablo – in Asia Pacific and Middle East markets, supported by disruptive and engaging marketing platforms.

The range features three Cabernet Sauvignons from three wine-growing valleys in Chile – Maule, Rapel and Maipo.

Each valley’s specific terroir and climate has yielded the three distinct wines.

A full global roll out of the range, which will be a focus at TFWE, is planned for 2020.

“Viña Concha y Toro has a great deal to offer both our travel retail customers and travelling consumers,” added Baeza. “We have unique brands and propositions, and we’re looking to further diversify our offering in the channel with novelty and innovation.”
