The 2022 TR Consumer Forum, taking place from 4-6 September at the Parklane Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus, is making waves as the only industry conference to place the consumer at the heart of the entire agenda.

Speakers from leading airports, retailers and suppliers in the channel will delve into discussions on everything from sustainability to the new and innovative ways to engage the very diverse international travelling customer profiles in travel retail. A key thread running through the programme is the exclusive consumer research by m1nd-set, which would be worth six figures in value if commissioned independently.

The research is being delivered at key points across the two-day conference, offering delegates quality insights that aren’t available through any other channels.

As such, delegates benefit from the most up-to-date analysis of consumer behaviour in the travel retail and how to capitalise on opportunities.

“The pandemic has led to a very significant change of shopping behaviour in travel retail and we will reveal and discuss the most fascinating changes worldwide, and also on a regional basis,” said Dr. Peter Mohn, Owner & CEO of m1nd-set, which co-organises the TR Consumer Forum alongside TRBusiness.

“Additionally, some of the category leaders are introducing completely new products and subcategories in the industry, and we will dedicate a special session to that as well.”

Peter Mohn, Owner & CEO of m1nd-set will deliver the exclusive consumer insights at every session at the TR Consumer Forum 2022.

This year’s research drills down on a number of other pertinent topics and talking points that are top of mind for industry stakeholders.

“There are a few new big trends that we will show the latest insights about, followed by very strong panel sessions discussing how these can be implemented in our industry,” said Mohn.

“Additionally, our state-of-the-art air traffic data forecasting, in partnership with IATA, will be an important contribution to the opening session. For this, we will show the forecasts for all the key regions regarding airports, nationalities and airlines.”

A huge amount of work goes into collecting and analysing the research.

“We have been collecting data at 60 airports with face-to-face interviews around the world on a regular basis since 2017, and we will share with the audience what will be much more important in the future and what they should focus on,” said Mohn.

During the weeks leading up to the conference, m1nd-set’s experienced team sets to work on analysing the data, with a focus on providing actionable and relevant information.

“There are always various team members involved in every single project to assure our insights and reports are objective, have been seen and discussed by many ‘eyes and brains’ and focus on our clients to grow their business,” said Mohn.

As well as helping to inform decision-making and provide ideas and inspiration for maximising growth opportunities in the channel, the consumer insights are pivotal in sparking discussion.

“Every session at the TR Consumer Forum features insights from m1nd-set,” said Mohn. “At the same time, there will be a panel consisting of various brands, retailers, airports or consultants to discuss what these insights mean for brands, retailers and airports.”

All conference delegates will receive a copy of the presentations to take away, containing the m1nd-set insights produced exclusively for the event.

As Mohn summarised: “Every stakeholder who believes the consumer is the most important part of our channel should attend the TR Consumer Forum, because it is all about understanding the consumer from different perspectives during each session across the two-day conference.”

The early bird discounted delegate rate of £595 per delegate is available until 18 July (£695 after this date). Those who wish to stay at the Parklane Hotel will also benefit from a special discounted room rate.

As reported, there are lots of reasons to attend the TR Consumer Forum. We are looking forward to meeting you there.
