Coty Travel Retail is bringing a new Chloé fragrance to the channel: the Nile-inspired Nomade Lumière d’Egypte Eau de Parfum.

On counter from 1 February 2025, Lumière d’Égypte is the latest in the French brand’s Nomade fragrance line, which launched in 2018 to capture the the ‘free-spirited spontaneity of the Chloé woman’.

Particularly suited to the travel retail  channel, the line is described as being ‘an invitation to travel’, offering an ‘olfactory journey for the self-assured woman’.

Lumière d’Égypte represents a new chapter for Nomade, following the launch of Nuit d’Égypte before it.

The scent continues to find inspiration in Egypt, the birthplace of Chloé founder Gaby Aghion, this time taking its cue from a journey along the Nile, where the native blue lotus waterlily grows on the banks.

This day-blooming flower, which opens at first light and closes mid-afternoon, emits a soft floral scent.

Chloé Lumière d'Egypte Eau de Parfum

Nomade Lumière d’Égypte is presented in the line’s signature flacon, with dusky blue accents.

In this new EDP, it is mingled with sweet notes of jasmine and earthy, heady notes of kyphi, a compound incense that was considered sacred to ancient Egyptian perfumery.

The age-old alchemic art of kyphi has been reinterpreted by the master perfumers behind the Chloé Nomade Égypt inspired line.

For Lumière d’Égypte, perfumer Cécile Matton took inspiration from the coolness of the Nile waters, the lush vegetation bordering its banks, and the dry heat of the surrounding desert.

Soft top notes of blue lotus accord release a delicate, aquatic fragrance that radiates with a green, airy floralcy.

Next, sweet jasmine evoke the ‘sweet heat’ of summer nights while heliac, fruity and animalic, jasmine grandiflorum absolute gives a velvety warmth.

The final expression of the fragrance offers a sensual minerality – designed to capture the sense of a breeze over the dunes – with spicy nuances of pink berry and elemi essential oil rounding out the scent.

Finally, notes of the kyphi accord are unveiled – a bespoke blend of essential oils, including cinnamon bark, sandalwood and myrrh.

Chloé Lumière d’Egypte Eau de Parfum is on counter in travel retail from 1 February 2025.

Nomade Lumière d’Égypte is presented in the line’s signature flacon, with a dusky blue knot around its neck.

For the campaign imagery, the fragrance bottle is photographed against a backdrop of time-worn, ceramic plates in the style of pottery from the antiquities, glazed a deep Mediterranean blue and adorned with painted lotus flowers.
