Oettinger Davidoff’s limited edition Chinese New Year cigars and accessories are available in limited quantities.

Oettinger Davidoff has launched a new limited edition ‘Year of the Pig’ range ahead of Chinese New Year 2019.

The ten pigtailed Gran Toro cigars are limited to 9,300 boxes globally and are presented in a lacquered, Asian-inspired red gift box.

Marking the seventh time the company has produced a cigar for the important holiday season, the ‘Year of the Pig’ edition is available at a number of airports worldwide, including at Zürich, Kiev and Paris, with prices varying dependent on location.

According to Davidoff, the zodiac sign is known for its compassion, generosity, success and ability to brighten a room – similar to a Davidoff cigar.

NOVEL ACCESSORIES

The cigar itself is wrapped in a shiny and oily Domincan wrapper from Yamasá to provide woody and peppery notes for a ‘sophisticated, complex and flavourful blend’.

It combines aged filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic with hints of liquorice, cream, vanilla, leather and spice with a Sumatra binder from Mexico. Inside the box is a paper insert detailing the ‘Year of the Pig’ story.

Accompanying the cigars is a special edition ‘Year of the Pig’ ashtray and double-blade cutter.

Limited to 300 pieces, the Italian-made ashtray is encased in red leather for a striking contrast with its inner mocha shade, with the Davidoff logo embossed on the metal.

The German blade cutter is crafted from non-porous stainless steel and is also limited to the same quantity.
