DFS Group ‘falls in love’ with global food and gifting focus

July marks the worldwide celebration of culture through food and gifts at nine select DFS Group locations, as the travel retailer launches a new identity to grow the category.
‘From DFS with Love’ pays homage to the ‘sense of place’ theme with the Group hosting a series of culinary and gift-focused events and activations throughout July at its locations in Honolulu, Guam, Saipan, Sydney, Siem Reap, Los Angeles, Venice, Singapore and Auckland.
Brooke Supernaw, DFS Group Senior Vice President Spirits, Wines, Tobacco, Food and Gifts said: “At DFS we understand that travel is a sensorial experience and so we have curated a selection of the very best luxury food and gift products from some of the most iconic destinations around the world.
“We know that travellers want to share their enjoyment with family and friends and this array of products enables them to return home with memorable souvenirs of flavours and cultures from their journey.”
More than 40 brands will partake in the activations, which pairs products with interactive experiences.
T Galleria by DFS Hawaii and DFS at Hawaii Daniel K. Inouye International Airport will host a food and gift fair including the Anuenue Tea Truck, a Godiva chocolate game, Hawaiian King and Honolulu Cookie dipping.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy coffee tastings, Manaola bamboo stamping workshops and a guest appearance from local designer Crazy Shirts.
Angkor Cookies and personalised Coco Khmer products will greet visitors at T Galleria by DFS, Angkor, while a special partnership with local Cambodian restaurant Sugar Palm provides an exclusive tasting plate and sweet delights based on local ingredients from Gelato Lab.
The campaign also includes a tie-up with award-winning Singaporean pastry chef Janice Wong at T Galleria by DFS, Singapore; a session at T Galleria by DFS, Auckland on how to create the perfect ‘Instagrammable’ food art with Manuka honey by honey maker Sheryl Steens, and much more.
