DFWC and association members to participate at TRMarketplace forum

The Duty Free World Council (DFWC) and its members will be present at the TRMarketplace online digital forum (28 September to 2 October) organised by TRBusiness and the Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo (12 October to 16 October).

Over the years, the Tax Free World Association (TFWA) Exhibition and Conference has provided a platform for the DFWC and its regional association members to inform the industry on the advocacy work undertaken to promote the interests of the DF&TR industry globally.

With this year’s event cancelled due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, DFWC, like most of the DF&TR industry, is embracing the online model. The DFWC also expressed its gratitude to both organisations for making this possible.

In addition to the Council sharing details of its work, each member will present the initiatives they are working on under the DFWC umbrella and individually with a live link to all recent regional reports.

Sarah Branquinho, President, DFWC commented: “We greatly appreciate the support we receive all year round from all the industry trade media. We thank both Moodie Davitt and TRBusiness for their offer to allow the Council and its members to highlight the important work we have been involved in, on very many fronts, since the beginning of 2020.

“Obviously dealing with the fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic has dominated, but there are many other initiatives impacting our industry which have also been the focus of much work this year and on which we shall communicate during both upcoming events.

“We look forward to a gradual return to normal for our industry and being able to communicate in more usual surroundings at all our members’ events next year.”

The upcoming TRMarketplace online digital forum has generated strong industry support with an impressive number of brand hubs and visitors confirmed. The event also boasts an unmissable knowledge and insights programme. Click here for a full list of partners.
