Dr. Gonn Weide is Vice President Commercial Strategy & Operations at Gebr. Heinemann effective 15 November 2025.

Gebr. Heinemann has appointed Dr. Gonn Weide to the newly created role of Vice President Commercial Strategy & Operations, effective 15 November 2025.

The new leadership role is designed especially to ‘enforce profitable growth and to develop assortment strategies’ for the Hamburg based travel retailer.

Dr. Gonn Weide brings wealth of experience in commercial strategy and transformation to the position, having held previously several senior roles at OBI, where he led initiatives in commercial strategy implementation, assortment governance and performance steering.

Reporting directly to Chief Commercial Officer CCO Inken Callsen, Dr. Gonn Weide will lead the newly consolidated areas of commercial activities.

This new structure merges the three buying teams for Beauty, Fashion Accessories (FA), and Liquor, Tobacco & Confectionery (LTC) with the Commercial Effectiveness team, which Heinemann says has been instrumental in developing capabilities around pricing, assortment and promotions, under one leadership.

The new setup will be supported by advanced tools such as the Price Engine, Assortment Engine and the Marketing Platform.

“With this new structure, we are creating clear accountability and focus across our commercial functions,” said Callsen. “I welcome Gonn and wish him every success in his new role.”
