The Duty Free World Council (DFWC) is to host a webinar presenting key updates on the DF&TR industry.

Entitled Planning to Restart, the webinar will take place on 3 June (14:00 – 15:30 CET).

The DFWC event will follow this publication’s second TRConnect online event, which takes place on 2 June. The TRConnect webinar will focus on the necessary evolution of customer engagement in a post-Covid-19 travel retail context (in-store and inflight).

Looking ahead to 3 June, the DFWC webinar will review up-to-date traffic data, courtesy of ACI World. It will also highlight measures taken by the Council itself and the regional associations.

RECOVERY FORECASTS

A holistic perspective on the current status of the air travel market and recovery forecasts, will be complemented by global and region-by-region briefings.

The briefings will focus on activities undertaken to ensure the important role of the DF&TR industry in the broader travel & tourism, aviation and maritime sectors is fully understood.

Ensuring the key role of the industry in these sectors is supported under recovery plans compiled by global, regional and national authorities, is also a priority. Keynote presentations will be delivered by Sarah Branquinho, President, Duty Free World Council and Patrick Lucas, Director Economics, ACI World.

Presidents of the industry’s regional organisations will provide a deeper perspective by region.
