Edrington collaborates with Jing to extend The Macallan Harmony series

The travel exclusive whisky is available now in key airports worldwide and in select downtown stores.
Edrington has launched the latest release from The Macallan Harmony Collection, created in collaboration with Jing, curators of fine single garden teas.
The Inspired By Organic Cherrywood Lapsang Tea is a limited-edition, travel retail exclusive single malt designed to pay homage to the world of tea and the artistry of nature.
Previewed at the recent TFWA World Exhibition, the whisky (ABV 44.9%) is available now in key airports worldwide and in select downtown stores, with an RRSP of US$190.
On the domestic market, the release is complemented by Inspired By Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea, a whisky crafted in tribute to a rare oolong tea from China’s Phoenix Mountain range.
Edrington takes cues from Cherrywood Lapsang tea
The travel retail exclusive expression draws inspiration from Jing’s Organic Cherrywood Lapsang tea – a reinvented take on Lapsang Souchong, delicately smoked over cherrywood in the UK. It is matured in sherry-seasoned European and Americans oak casks.
The nose opens with rich toffee, dates and warming spice, bursts of ripe berries and charred citrus peel, all wrapped in aromatic charred oak smoke. On the palate, toffee and rich citrus combine with oak spices, with a hint of smoke. The finish is smooth and creamy.
To support the launch, The Macallan has introduced an experiential display at key global travel retail locations. Inspired by traditional tea rituals, the display incorporates curated items such as Jing tea leaves and a tea pet to highlight the connection between single garden tea and single malt whisky.

The new whisky’s presentation box is made from repurposed waste tea leaves, aligning with the collection’s sustainability ethos.
The Macallan, like Jing, operates a tightly controlled supply chain, from sherry producers in Jerez to proprietary oak sawmills in the US and Spain. This end-to-end approach underpins the brand’s commitment to quality, provenance, and craftsmanship.
Edrington Global Travel Retail Marketing Director Alessandro Felicani commented: “This launch beautifully exemplifies our commitment to elevating the travel retail experience through innovation, storytelling, and craftsmanship.
“Inspired By Organic Cherrywood Lapsang Tea is a unique collaboration that brings together The Macallan’s mastery of whisky-making with Jing’s exceptional tea artistry — resulting in an expression that is both evocative and unexpected. It speaks directly to today’s luxury travellers who seek authenticity, provenance, and purposeful experiences.”

To support the launch, The Macallan has introduced an experiential display, inspired by traditional tea rituals, at key global travel retail locations.
Jing CEO Melanie Tricklebank added: “At Jing, we’re inspired by the unique terroir and craftsmanship behind every tea origin. It’s a pleasure to collaborate with such an incredible brand and to see The Macallan draw inspiration from the distinctive quality and craft of the tea producer partners who inspire our mission to change the perception of what tea can be. The collaboration with The Macallan is a true meeting of minds and traditions.”
The Macallan Harmony Collection is a limited annual release that embraces the use of organic materials in its packaging, harnessing resources at the end of their natural lives. In line with this sustainability ethos, the new whisky’s presentation box is made from repurposed waste tea leaves.
Each year The Macallan Whisky Mastery team collaborates with world-renowned chefs, connoisseurs and artists to produce innovative whiskies with unique flavours. Previous Harmony collaborations include Cirque Du Soleil, the Roca Brothers and Stella and Mary McCartney.
