JuraDalThe Dalmore and Jura single malt whiskies can now be enjoyed at 35,000ft onboard Emirates after the carrier struck an agreement with brand owner Whyte & Mackay.

First-class cabins will now offer The Dalmore King Alexander III, while business class travellers can enjoy Jura Superstition.

Both join the flagship airline’s recently revamped spirits offer and sit aside only two other Scotch whisky brands available in first and business class cabins.

“We’re proud to offer both The Dalmore King Alexander III and Jura Superstition on our flights,” commented Joost Heymeijer, Senior Vice President, Inflight Catering, Emirates.

“Each distillery is known for their dedication to craftsmanship and access to rare and old casks and we’re proud to be serving whiskies of such quality to our customers.”

COMPLEMENTARY PARTNERSHIP

Whyte & Mackay’s Area Director Middle East, India and Africa Ashish Monga added: “We are privileged to partner with Emirates and to have The Dalmore and Jura onboard first and business class respectively.

“Over a decade, both brands have seen enormous growth, and we are grateful to Emirates for providing this wonderful opportunity that will allow existing and new drinkers to enjoy our brands while in the air and enjoying the service of its team.”

Antoinette Clifford, Senior Travel Retail Marketing Manager, Whyte & Mackay further added: “This partnership will serve to reinforce both brands’ reputation and standing which we are very excited about. We are confident that the first and business passengers will enjoy the taste and stories of both brands.”

Operating from the heart of Glasgow where they have been for over 170 years, Whyte & Mackay employs over 470 people across the globe and owns five distilleries and a state-of-the-art bottling plant in Scotland.

It is the fifth largest Scotch whisky manufacturer in the world, with its products distributed in over 50 countries.

Today Whyte & Mackay is owned by Philippines based Emperador Inc.
