Marcano has worked in the Travel Retail Worldwide division since 2015.

The Estée Lauder Companies has announced Michael Marcano as the new Vice President/General Manager, Aramis and Designer Fragrances, Origins, Glamglow and Becca, Travel Retail Worldwide.

Marcano joins the travel retail leadership team and succeeds Umair Ansari, who was appointed into a new position within the Group earlier this month.

Having joined The Estée Lauder Companies in October 2012 as Director, Global Marketing, Ermenegildo Zegna Parfums –  where he strengthened the brand into a key men’s fragrance pillar within the portfolio – Marcano took up the role of Executive Director, Global Marketing, Men’s Brands, ADF in July 2014.

In the position, he developed initiatives to drive additional sales for the Ermenegildo Zegna, Aramis and Kiton brands.

A year later (2015), he switched to the Travel Retail Worldwide team as Executive Director, Marketing, La Mer, Aveda and Le Labo where he was responsible for executing the brands’ strategic priorities and marketing activations while facilitating ‘exceptional commercial results’, said the Group.

“Michael has been a champion for integrated, consumer-first 36o-degree marketing, driving the La Mer brand’s signature ‘Arrive Hydrated’ travel retail campaign and developing an in-depth understanding of the traveling Chinese consumer,” it added.
