The milestone maritime opening will take place on 17 July.

Expora Journeys, the luxury lifestyle brand of the MSC Group, is poised to open the first-ever Rolex boutique onboard a ship.

The store will open onboard Explora I on 17 July. The vessel offers 461 oceanfront suites, penthouses and residences, designed to be ‘homes at sea’ for its guests.

A landmark luxury partnership

The new Rolex at sea mono-brand store aims to offer travellers an unparalleled shopping experience, according to the group. It will incorporate an elegant design aesthetic that showcases an extensive range of models and styles.

The store will be staffed by experienced hosts trained by Rolex who will deliver a curated shopping experience for travellers, while managing the allocation of watches per suite.

Explora Journeys CEO Michael Ungerer commented: “We are elated to be partnering with Rolex, a like-minded Geneva-based Swiss luxury brand that very much shares our values and our long-term sustainable vision.

“It enables us to offer our discerning travellers the opportunity to purchase Rolex watches, while sailing onboard Explora I. We believe that this new retail location will be a must-visit destination for anyone looking to add a touch of luxury to their journey experience.”
