Food Accademia unveils new website; reveals key TRMarketplace launches
By Andrew Pentol |
Food Accademia has launched its new website (www.foodaccademia.it) in the build-up to the TRMarketplace (28 September to 2 October) online digital event organised by TRBusiness.
The new website is designed to give travel retailers and foodservice concessionaires an insight into its industry exclusive offer, according to the company.
Visitors to the site will be treated to a visual introduction of Food Accademia’s travel retail fine food and beverage offer. A full range of downloadable brochures will offer a complete guide to the portfolio by category (fine foods, wines and spirits, confectionery and foodservice).
Food Accademia’s new freestanding display units, enabling retailers to offer travellers a taste of Italy in small spaces, will also be displayed.
Looking ahead to TRMarketplace, Food Accademia will highlight a selection of brands, including a number of new brand partnerships established in the past year.
TRMARKETPLACE PRODUCT SELECTION
These include Tasca d’Almerita wines, a selection including the Rosso del Conte wooden gift-box of one to six bottles; T&C Truffle based products, a range for truffle lovers, including gift-boxes that are ideal for travel retail; and Quattrociocchi extra virgin olive oil. This includes the Extra Virgin Olive Oil gift-box containing three recipes (Olivastro, Delicato and Superbo).
Other brand partnerships include Loredan Gasparini Capo di Stato wine. The highlight is the Capo di Stato wine, which is included in French publication, 11 vins de légende as one of the world’s 100 legendary wines.
Food Accademia has also partnered with Hausbrandt coffee, which is complete with a vintage tin. Additionally, it is working with Flamigni panettone and nougat, both of which share ancient origins, are linked to anniversaries and represent two cornerstones of Italian gastronomic heritage.
Bringing together the best of Italy, Food Accademia is working with partners to bring relevant products to travel retail.
New for this year is Ceci’s ‘To You (a te)’ Bolle di Lambrusco (pictured below) a matt black bottle with a gold stopper that is complete with chalks. This chalks enable the purchaser to personalise the body. Food Accademia says this is a perfect gift idea for travel retail and will sit well on shelves at international airports.
Also new from Castagner is a gift-box comprising 3 x 200ml types of Italian Grappa. The box is one of a wide range of grappas offered by Castagner and the Grappa should be served ice cold to create an emotional Italian experience.
Clementines covered in dark chocolate from Torre Saracena are also being offered by Food Accademia. The fruit is processed immediately after harvest using a natural ‘cold process’ that lasts up to 25 days.
Products including Zaini’s luxurious chocolate bars, Casa Gheller prosecco, Virginia’s Amaretti biscuits and pastries, Cà dei Frati Lugana and Amarone wine and Sommariva pesto and sauces will all be exhibited at TRMarketplace.
Fabrizio Canal, Founder and Global Director said: “We have the right products, the right merchandising support and the right expertise to create the best Italian fine food offer for any travel retail environment. Make an appointment with us on our TRMarketplace hub and we will introduce you to an Italian food experience that you will not forget.”
