France-based Famille Perrin joins the Travel Retail Fine Wine Alliance

Famille Perrin is based in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and has joined the Travel Retail Fine Wine Alliance.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape-based producer Famille Perrin has joined the Travel Retail Fine Wine Alliance (TRFWA), a consortium of family-owned wine producers active in the travel retail and duty free channel.

TRFWA was formed to promote the contribution that wine families make to travel retail, especially when they work in partnership.

Albert Bichot, Cono Sur, González Byass, Masi and Symington are the other suppliers in the collective, alongside Famille Perrin.

The six member families believe that by sharing expertise they can add value to their own businesses, and improve the experiences of wine lovers in the fast-moving travel retail world.

“We are certain that the Perrin family, with its already strong presence in travel retail and high expectations for their Miraval range of Provence wines, will definitely be an important and active member in pursuing these goals,” the Alliance said in a joint statement.

At next month’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference, González Byass, Famille Perrin, Masi and Symington will co-exhibit at stand 2-F19.

“The objective remains as announced last fall when the Alliance was created: join forces to promote Premium Wines in the Travel Retail sector,” the statement continues.

“APAC represents a key area as major travel retail operators are present and that their activities reach far beyond the region.”

Famille Perrin first entered travel retail back in 2013 when its Miraval Côtes de Provence of Jolie-Pitt fame was listed by Heinemann.
