Greenall’s gin liqueurs add summer flavour at WDF
By Luke Barras-hill |
Handcrafted British gin Greenall’s has unveiled its first flavoured gin liqueur expressions, initially exclusive in DF&TR.
Greenall’s Green Apple & Hibiscus and Blood Orange, Fig and Ginger launched internationally this week into World Duty Free, where they will be available until July before entering into domestic markets from August.
Both variants, available in 50cl bottlings to appeal to new and established gin drinkers, boast an ABV of 20% and retail at £18.50 ($22).
“Innovation is key to bringing new consumers into the category and with our long-standing reputation as the original handcrafted British gin, we are excited to be introducing a whole new audience to quality gin with Greenall’s Gin Liqueurs,” commented Rob Curteis, International Marketing Director at Greenall’s Gin.
CAREFUL SOURCING
Created by Master Distiller Joanne Moore at the G&J Greenall’s distillery in Warrington, the liqueurs are inspired by her desire to fuse British and modern flavours as a reflection of the botanicals used to craft the liquid.
Moore added: “It was important to me that with these new Greenall’s Gin Liqueurs, we gave consumers who are new to gin a great first experience to whet their appetite, giving them a taste of gin, but softening it with a lower ABV and appealing complementary flavours.
“We’ve put a lot of care into the development of these liqueurs and I can’t wait to see how they are received by Greenall’s fans – new and old – around the world.”
Greenall’s The Original London Dry Gin is part of the Quintessential Brands Group portfolio.
