Chocolaterie Guylian keen on ‘leading palm oil free’ mantle

By Luke Barras-hill |

Guylian_oilfree18Chocolaterie Guylian has outlined its ambition to become the prominent palm oil free Belgian chocolate confectionery brand.

The firm prides itself on its 100% pure cocoa butter Guylian seashells and sea horse chocolates, which are filled with original hazelnut and dark hazelnut praline.

Its truffle varieties also contain zero palm oil, instead using sustainable shea butter and sunflower oil containing less saturated fat and sugar.

Guylian will further premiumise its portfolio in the coming years.

GUYLIAN GOLDEN COLLECTION

Building on its 50th anniversary last year, in which it unveiled the Guylian Master’s Selection, the confectioner says it plans to roll out a new Guylian Golden Collection exclusive to travel retail during this year’s TFWA World Exhibition & Conference (30 Sept – 05 Oct).

“Guylian has a strong heritage and position in travel retail,” said Sales Director Steven Candries. “Our products are available in 75% of travel retail shops globally.

“More premium, indulgent, sustainable and healthy Guylian chocolates and a travel retail exclusive range will further create value.”

Adding his thoughts, Guylian Managing Director Mieke Callebaut said: “The launch of Guylian Master’s Selection in 2017 was a milestone in Chocolaterie Guylian’s journey to premiumise the Guylian brand.

“Over the next two years, the full Guylian product range will become even more premium as all products and packaging will be rejuvenated and gradually re-launched.”

Guylian is exhibiting at the TFWA World Exhibition Booth P13, Mediterranean Village.
