Hagi replaces Leccisi at Safilo
By Kevin Rozario |
Eyewear group Safilo has appointed Omar Hagi as its new Head of Global Travel Retail, replacing Francesco Leccisi who is leaving the company to pursue other professional challenges after a year at the helm.
Hagi joined Safilo in December 2010 as Export Sales Manager – Middle East & North Africa and moving through the ranks to become Head of the Global Account.
In his new role, based at Safilo’s HQ in Italy, he will report to Henri Blomqvist, Global Commercial Director, coordinating worldwide areas with a focus on Asia, which is a strategic hub for Safilo’s travel retail business.
“We are glad to count on Omar as our new Head of Global Travel Retail, as he brings strategic commercial and account management capability into our travel retail business taking it to a new level,” comments Bomqvist.
Prior to joining Safilo, Hagi worked at motorcycle clothing house Spidi Sport as an Export Area Manager, and before that at motorcycle manufacturer Piaggio as Marketing Product Manager.
