Harston aims for colourful Orlando impact

By Doug Newhouse |

Harston is back in Orlando this year with a full range of watches, jewellery and accessories from leading brands, including Puma Time, Esprit (MYWA); Jacques Lemans, Jacques Farel and Jacques Farel Kids; Cuffwear; and Arren (Booth 931).

Innovation and colour are said to be the inspiration behind the new Puma Time Motorsport, Active and Urban Mobility collections.

Motorsport offers four new models for men and three for women. The men’s collection includes Bold, featuring strong lines, a thick case and slightly asymmetric shape; the slim and sleek Chronograph Screen, with seamless transition from glass to dial; the lightweight Camber, with the appearance of an etched block of steel; and Crown, which resembles the crown of a screw.

‘MINIMALIST LOOK…’
Motorsport for women includes Blink, combining a minimalist look with a double-layered dial and cut out Puma logo; Boost Ladies, with soft flowing lines and asymmetrical case; and Ring, which comes with an unusual tachymeter look around the dial.

The Puma Time Active range comes alive with new metallic versions of popular models Cardiac 11, Flux, Pulse and Turn 11, available in shimmering pink, blue, gold and silver. There are also new Jet and Glide models featuring alarm, chronograph and count down timer. Jet is offered in black, yellow, grey and green as well as metallics.

Within the Urban Mobility collection, Calculus reinvents the calculator watch. Popular in the 1980s, it now has a new sleek look and innovative touch screen technology and is available in purple, yellow, silver and black.

‘LATEST TRENDS’
Watches from Esprit for this coming spring/summer season feature latest trends such as snake and crocodile leather-looks and bright plastics, and cater for both men and women, extending the diversity of the Core Collection.

The women’s collection comprises a range of styles in a variety of sizes, materials and colour combinations, from small, classic watches through to large, sporty models. Large stones and colourful highlights add a touch of glamour.

Highlights for spring/summer include models with an exchangeable coloured bezel ring, as well as ‘his and hers’ paired watches in matt black.

SPORTY MODELS
Adding value to its men’s collection, Esprit has included new sporty models waterproof to 10 bar, featuring rotating bezels, outsized models with lavish bezels and medium-sized watches with three-dimensional dials.

The Houston line features new, elegant watches in several ‘glamorous’ styles with refined touches such as a delicate woven leather/metal strap. Also available this season is Houston’s ‘louder look’, courtesy of the Pico models, featuring fashion-conscious, faux reptile skin straps.

Stand contacts will be Managing Director Margaret Taylor, Commercial Director, Stephanie Hum and International Sales Director Hans Eulenhoefer.
