Harston Group ‘totally committed to Timex success’

By Charlotte Turner |

Timex has made a “strategic partnership” with Harston Group for its international travel retail business.

The agreement, which takes effect immediately, covers duty free markets worldwide with the exception of the US, Canada, UAE, Qatar and China where agreements already exist with other agents and partners.

Chief Operating Officer of Global Business Development at Timex Group USA, Kapil Kapoor said: “Timex is absolutely delighted to team up with the Harston Group, a company with a proven track record in the travel retail industry. We look forward to working with its team to further build the Timex brand and reach out to a broader set of customers.”

Managing Director Hans Eulenhoefer of the Harston Group readily agreed: “Timex has definitely earned a place in the watch world.

“There’s no denying its strong presence in the marketplace but the potential for more growth is there. We, at the Harston Group, are totally committed to their success.”

Timex is confident that the Harston Group would be in a full position to take over in time for the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, France this October.

The Harston Group is a group of companies that specialises in the travel retail sector and has represented companies in duty free and travel retail for over a decade.

Presently, it carries a dynamic range of products in its portfolio including well-known brands in eyewear, watches and jewellery. In its Harston Cellars Division, it represents premium wines from Europe and the New World.
