Henkell Freixenet will be focusing on its aperitivo and spritz lines in Cannes, including its new single-serve spritz cans.

Henkell Freixenet will put changing traveller drinking occasions at the heart of its TFWA World Exhibition & Conference showcase, with new single-serve spritz formats joining premium sparkling wines and alcohol-free alternatives in Cannes.

Among the biggest launches are canned versions of Freixenet Solare Spritz and Mionetto Orange Spritz, both designed to take established aperitivo brands into more convenient formats suited to travel, cruises, resorts and outdoor occasions.

The launches reflect four areas Henkell Freixenet has identified for growth in global travel retail: premium sparkling wine, aperitivo and spritz, convenient single-serve formats and alcohol-free alternatives.

“At TFWA Cannes, we want to show our partners how premium brands can respond to changing traveller occasions,” said Ramon Olive, Head of Sales GTR at Henkell Freixenet Global Export. “Freixenet Solare Spritz and Mionetto Orange Spritz bring established brand equities into convenient single-serve formats, while Gratien Meyer Crémant and Freixenet Diamond, including Diamond 0.0%, broaden the premium choice across alcoholic and alcohol-free occasions.”

Launched earlier this year, Mediterranean aperitivo Freixenet Solare combines Spanish lemon, clementine, rosemary and other botanicals. Cannes will see the brand add a ready-to-drink canned Solare Spritz to the range ahead of its launch in October, alongside the existing alcoholic and alcohol-free expressions.

Mionetto is giving its spritz offer the same on-the-go treatment. Its new 5% abv canned Orange Spritz combines Mionetto sparkling wine with orange, herbs, spices and bitter notes, joining existing 750ml and 200ml formats.

Premium sparkling wine will also have a strong presence. Freixenet will present its Diamond range, including Diamond 0.0%, a sparkling wine produced from Italian grapes and gently dealcoholised, while Mionetto will reveal a new look for its luxury collection of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut and Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG.

French sparkling wine brand Gratien Meyer completes the line-up with a refreshed Crémant portfolio and new design inspired by the pale tufa stone of the Loire Valley, where its historic Saumur cellars were carved.
