Herita Marzotto to highlight shifting wine tastes at TFWA
By Naomi Chadderton |
Herita Marzotto Wine Estates will highlight growing opportunities for premium white and sparkling wines when it returns to TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes this September.
The family-owned Italian producer said evolving consumer preferences are creating new opportunities across global travel retail, with younger travellers increasingly seeking quality, authenticity and new drinking experiences. Asia Pacific is proving particularly dynamic, with China showing a shift beyond its traditionally red wine-focused market.
“Consumer tastes are evolving across global travel retail, creating new opportunities for premium wines,” said Export Director Giacomo Marzotto. “China has traditionally been a red wine market, but younger consumers are increasingly embracing white and sparkling wines. We’re seeing similar trends in other international markets, reinforcing our confidence in the long-term potential of these categories.”
Japan remains one of Herita’s most established Asia Pacific markets, while Australia continues to perform strongly and Southeast Asia – particularly Thailand – is showing potential for further growth.
In Cannes, the company will showcase wines from across its portfolio of ten wineries, including the travel retail-exclusive Santa Margherita Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, which Herita said has continued to gain momentum since its channel launch. Ca’ del Bosco, its Franciacorta producer, will also form part of the sparkling wine offer.
This year’s TFWA World will be Herita’s first as a member of the Travel Retail Fine Wine Alliance, where it joins fellow family-owned producers Albert Bichot, Cono Sur, González Byass, Masi, Symington and Famille Perrin.
“The Travel Retail Fine Wine Alliance brings together family-owned wineries with a shared commitment to quality and to growing the wine category in travel retail,” Marzotto said. “By sharing ideas and experiences, we can strengthen the category and create even greater value for our partners and travellers.”
Herita will participate in the alliance’s networking event during TFWA World and will again support the TFWA Lounge at the Carlton Hotel, where Santa Margherita Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore will be served throughout the week.
Sustainability will also feature in the company’s Cannes presentation, with organic viticulture, biodiversity and responsible production forming part of its long-term strategy.
Herita Marzotto Wine Estates will exhibit at stand F3 in the Blue Village.
