Ian Macleod Distillers (IMD) has released two new Global Travel Retail (GTR) exclusive Single Malt Scotch whiskies this month: Glengoyne Highland Single Malt 12 Year Old (12YO) First Fill Edition and Tamdhu Speyside Single Malt Gran Reserva Batch 5.
Glengoyne 12YO First Fill Edition is crafted using a combination of First Fill Oloroso Sherry Casks and First Fill American Oak Bourbon Casks.
Glengoyne 12YO First Fill Edition 70cl (ABV 43%, RRP £69.99/€79.90/US$93) replaces the 10YO in the collection.
Also new to the market is the fifth batch of Tamdhu Gran Reserva, a sought-after expression which celebrates the dedicated Spanish sherry oak heritage of Tamdhu Speyside Single Malt.
Tamdhu Gran Reserva is matured exclusively in only the finest European oak first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, stored in the cool shadows of the distillery’s traditional dunnage warehouses.
Tamdhu Gran Reserva 70cl (RRP £208/€249/US$269) was bottled un-chill-filtered at 46% ABV, is entirely natural in colour and is presented in an ornate purple and gold gift box.
“We are delighted to introduce the Glengoyne 12YO First Fill Edition, a new core expression for our most popular Single Malt, crafted using only First Fill casks, delivering maximum flavour, which offers a unique proposition in GTR,” said William Ovens, Head of Global Travel Retail, IMD.
“Tamdhu Gran Reserva hand-selected casks are the best of the best and the pinnacle of sherry cask maturation, appealing to sherry cask whisky connoisseurs. Gran Reserva is becoming one of the most iconic and sought-after expressions in our Travel Retail line-up,” added Ovens.

Glengoyne 12YO First Fill Edition won a Gold Medal win at the International Spirits Challenge 2025.
Known as the unhurried malt, Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky is crafted to a 200-year-old recipe which uses some of the slowest stills in Scotland and is one of the few Scottish whiskies to be distilled from completely unpeated malted barley.
Glengoyne’s award-winning malts are carefully crafted to showcase the exceptional sherry oak casks which are used to mature the distillery’s unique sweet, fruity spirit.
An artisanal Scotch malt whisky, Tamdhu is made with water drawn from Tamdhu Distillery’s own spring on the banks of the River Spey, where it is exclusively matured in sherry-seasoned casks, crafted in the cooperages and bodegas of Jerez for up to six years.
Launched into Global Travel Retail in 2018, Tamdhu is the only Single Malt Scotch Whisky dedicated to maturing exclusively in sherry casks.
