IDFS Morocco, Dufry and Vienna Airport bolster TR Consumer Forum delegates

Influential travel retailers and airports continue to sign up in their droves to attend the unmissable Travel Retail Consumer Forum, which will be held at the London Hilton Paddington hotel on 20-22 September [click below link to register].

Dufry Group, International Duty Free Shops (IDFS) Morocco and Vienna International Airport are the latest among a crop of key industry stakeholders to confirm their participation (subject to travel restrictions) of late, including London Gatwick Airport, Edinburgh Airport and London City Airport.

They supercharge an already impressive lineup of leading travel retailers, suppliers/brand companies, airports and industry associations set to attend DF&TR’s first international physical event since the pandemic struck in March 2020.

UK RESTRICTIONS EASE

A leading roster of global operators including Lagardère Travel Retail, Aer Rianta International, 3Sixty Duty Free, WHSmith International, Inflight Sales Group Europe, R+F Travel Retail/Stena Line and Kaner Duty Free plan to send representation to the two-day event.

As reported on Monday, the *early bird discount deadline for the inaugural Travel Retail Consumer Forum hosted by TRBusiness and leading travel retail research agency m1nd-set has been extended until the end of this month.

This followed the hugely welcome news of the UK government’s easing of restrictions for arrivals passengers from the EU and US at 4am that same day.

The move offers a timely jumpstart for the return of DF&TR physical events such as the Travel Retail Consumer Forum, which continues to intensify its support.Philipp Ahrens, Senior Vice President Center Management, Vienna International Airport commented: “The retail business is a people business and this cannot be substituted by digital meetings. It is time to catch up in person and show ourselves that the industry is alive and will eventually return even stronger.
