Imperial Brands marks Davidoff anniversary and new leadership
By Naomi Chadderton |
Imperial Brands will celebrate 100 years of Davidoff cigarettes at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, while also introducing Chris Street to industry partners following his appointment as General Manager, Global Travel Retail & Nordics.
The Davidoff centenary will form a major part of the company’s presence at Golden Village G06, giving Imperial Brands an opportunity to highlight a century of heritage and craftsmanship while setting out its plans for the premium brand’s next chapter. For Street, Cannes will also provide a first major opportunity to meet global travel retail customers and partners in his new role. He succeeds Pierpaolo Pascucci, who has moved within Imperial Brands to become General Manager, DACH.
Having held several senior positions across the business, Street takes the helm as Imperial Brands continues to invest in category development, customer partnerships and its wider brand portfolio in travel retail.
“I am delighted to take on the role of General Manager, Global Travel Retail & Nordics at such an exciting time for the business,” said Street. “Travel retail remains a dynamic and strategically important channel for Imperial Brands, and TFWA World Exhibition provides the perfect opportunity to connect with customers and partners from around the world. Celebrating 100 years of Davidoff cigarettes makes this year’s exhibition particularly special. Davidoff is a brand built on exceptional craftsmanship and quality, and this milestone demonstrates our commitment to investing in brands that resonate with adult consumers. I look forward to building on the strong foundations already in place and continuing to deliver sustainable growth across the channel.”
Combustible tobacco remains an important part of Imperial Brands’ travel retail business, with its 2030 strategy placing an emphasis on brand building, product quality and targeted innovation. Beyond the anniversary celebrations, TFWA World will therefore serve as a forum for the company to discuss evolving adult consumer expectations and different shopper needs across international markets.
Loukia Alepochoriti, Head of Corporate & Legal Affairs at Imperial Brands, said: “TFWA World Exhibition remains one of the most important gatherings for the global travel retail industry, providing a valuable opportunity to meet with partners, exchange insights and strengthen relationships. As consumer expectations continue to evolve, these conversations are more important than ever in helping us develop relevant, consumer-led initiatives that support sustainable category growth.”
