Inken Callsen rises to Heinemann CCO and joins the Executive Board

Newly appointed Chief Commercial Officer of Purchasing, Global Supply Chain, and Commercial Effectiveness Inken Callsen has been with Gebr. Heinemann for more than 28 years.

Long-standing Gebr. Heinemann senior executive Inken Callsen will become Chief Commercial Officer of Purchasing, Global Supply Chain, and Commercial Effectiveness, effective 1 September.

Currently Vice President Global Supply Chain, a position she assumed in 2021, Callsen has spent more than 28 years with the Hamburg-headquartered travel retailer and was previously Director Purchasing for Perfume & Cosmetics, Fashion & Accessories, and Fulfilment.

Max Heinemann, Co-CEO and Owner, Gebr. Heinemann, commented: “Inken is recognised and respected within our Group as well as throughout the travel retail industry.

“We are convinced that with her many years of extensive experience and her deep understanding of our corporate culture and values she is the right person for the position of Chief Commercial Officer. We are happy to welcome her to our Executive Board.”

At the same time, responsibility for Gebr. Heinemann’s marketing function will now be transferred to Chief Sales Officer Florian Seidel ‘to strengthen co-operation with the locations’, read a statement.

The division headed by Director Jens Peter Peuckert will benefit from a stronger ‘shoulder-to-shoulder relationship with the organisation of the shop floor and the Sales Experience & Excellence division’, it continued.

Gebr. Heinemann Co-CEO Raoul Spanger added: “The key driver of all our actions is the implementation of our mission statement. We have set ourselves the goal of transforming travel time into valuable time as the most human-centric company in global travel retail. We want to make our mission statement with its six promises visible in our shops for travellers.”
