Inova targets global travel retail with single serve beverages

Inova Simple Inspiracion SL is targeting the travel retail channel with its innovative PET glass products, which it believes will bring portability and convenience to wine drinking.
“A major part of our approach to market is GTR in all channels,” says Simon Robertson, Business Development Director, Inova. “We think that we have some big opportunities in pre-boarding, on-board as well as cruise ships and ferries as both products are made from PET; 100% recyclable and consumer centric.”
The Quart Vin Glass is a single serve PET glass, which doesn’t require a pesky corkscrew or even a glass to pour a drink. “Initially we will be filling [our bottles with] only wine, cocktails and any other beverages containing alcohol,” says Inova. “However, the Inova team is already working on further technology development in order to bring customers a wide variety of other drinks such as water, natural juices, lemonade, ice tea, non-alcoholic wine.”
The Quart Vin Glass product uses 100% recyclable PET sealed by a heat-sealing process, which allows for very precise specifications,” claims Inova. “Constraints of Food Hygiene (HACCP) are met and help preserve the organoleptic qualities of all content.”
PERSONALISATION POSSIBILITIES
The product is airtight featuring a seal made of tear-proof foil, which is easy to peel, says Inova. “The rim is smooth and pleasant on the lips when drinking from the glass as it has no sharp edges.”
Inova also says it will be possible to personalise the label and as the plastic cup closure; a good opportunity for brand exposure.
The Singlz product “brings 21st century portability and convenience to wine drinking – an innovative all-in-one design combined with leading edge PET bottle technology that preserves wine quality,” says Inova.
TELEVISION COVERAGE
Inova claims that the Singlz concept is ideal for picnics, barbeques and situations where a single serve is all that is required; perfect for sporting and other outdoor events, concerts and performances where glassware is not permitted for safety reasons and where many people need to be served in a short space of time.
“We have just agreed a filling contract with Les Grands Chais de France to produce at their Landiras filling centre in Bordeaux and we will be ready to go to market in March,” adds Robertson.
The two brands have enjoyed considerable television and editorial exposure including an interview about the Quart Vin Glass product on CNBC’s Power Lunch programme [featured above] and a pitch on the Spanish Dragon’s Den “Tu Opportunidad”.
