La Prairie launches Platinum eye elixir

By Caroline Sargent |

Ultra-premium skincare brand La Prairie has announced the latest addition to its coveted Platinum Collection of ‘ultimate rejuvenators’, set to reach counters this September; Cellular Eye Essence Platinum Rare features complex technology and revolutionary delivery systems to transform the eye area, the brand claims.

The new lightweight, low viscosity gel serum is dispensed to skin via a cooling, metal-tipped dropper that minimizes the feeling of puffiness upon contact around the contours of the eyes. With the appearance of quicksilver, the elixir is a combination of La Prairie’s exclusive Cellular Complex, wrinkle plumping peptides, lifters and tighteners, lighteners, hydrators, energizers and anti-oxidants and, true to its name, platinum.

With the delicate skin around the eye more prone to aggravation and aging due to environmental exposure, stress and constant movements such as smiling and squinting, the platinum peptide found within Cellular Eye Essence Platinum Rare helps enhance firmness, reduce the appearance of wrinkles in the eye area and improve skin elasticity and hydration.

Cellular Eye Essence Platinum Rare can be applied day or night and may be used alone or layered with Cellular Eye Cream Platinum Rare for ultimate anti-wrinkle effects, improved tightening and brightening of the eye area.

The suggested retail price for a 15ml bottle is €260.
