Lagardère Group finalises sports and entertainment division sale to H.I.G.

Lagardère Group has finalised the sale of its sports and entertainment division to Miami-based private equity and alternative assets investment firm H.I.G. Capital.
The sale, which was first announced on 16 December 2019 is a signal of its intent to focus all efforts and resources on developing its Lagardère Publishing and Lagardère Travel Retail divisions.
Last year, total Lagardère Group revenue amounted to €7.2bn ($7.8bn), of which the travel retail and publishing divisions accounted for €4.3bn and €2.4bn respectively. Sales from other activities generated €288m.
