Arnaud Rolland – newly appointed Vice-President, CSR at Lagardère Travel Retail.
Lagardère Travel Retail (TR) has appointed Arnaud Rolland as Vice-President, CSR to lead the Group’s overall sustainability strategy.
The announcement comes at a pivotal moment for the company, which is on track to achieve its contribution to a global, collective carbon neutrality (scopes 1 & 2) across all operations, by the end of 2023 as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) PEPS (Planet. Ethics. People. Social.) initiative.
Rolland takes the reins of the Global PEPS Team to ensure that Lagardère TR delivers on its ambition to champion sustainability in the channel by designing, coordinating and implementing the global CSR strategy across the company’s activities.
“I am delighted to welcome Arnaud to our Team, to which he is an ideal completion,” said Lucio Rossetto, Chief Business Officer, Lagardère Travel Retail.
“During the past few years as we had to navigate the challenging covid context, Lagardère Travel Retail have been relentlessly investing into our sustainability programme, clearly defining a long-term vision, ambitious targets and structuring an effective approach to enable change.
“The objective is to secure long-term sustainable operations in response to customers, landlords, partners and employees’ expectations. I trust Arnaud will provide the competences, the focus and the energy to realise the ambitious objectives of a committed and enthusiastic organisation.”
An experienced CSR leader, Rolland has 28 years’ expertise in the consumer industry, including 22 spent at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP), the leading global bottler of The Coca-Cola Company.
In this role, Rolland was in charge of all issues related to the circular economy of packaging, CSR partnerships with mass retailers, the implementation of the climate strategy and the social impact strategy.
He acted as the spokesperson for CCEP on all environmental and social issues, and was an administrator of both the National Packaging Council and the Plastic Pact.
In addition, he was a member of leading environmental and CSR commissions of the consumer goods industry.
Rolland’s appointment underscores Lagardère TR’s investment in reinforcing its CSR governance framework.
The PEPS Global Committee, established in 2022, is formed by key members of the organisation, including business lines leads, as well as product, HR and communications experts who are responsible for driving action across all four pillars of the CSR strategy. It works under the guidance and supervision of the group’s management board and global CSR team.
Key countries across the company’s network are also now creating dedicated CSR Committees, and CSR targets achieved are now included in the performance-linked remuneration of senior leaders across the organisation.
