The concept unit is located in the non-Schengen area and presents international passengers with an appealing and broad range of Lamy designer writing instruments and accessories.

Germany’s writing instrument manufacturer Lamy has announced the opening of its first permanent travel retail concept store in the country at Berlin Brandenburg International ‘Willy Brandt’ Airport (BER).

Opened in partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail Deutschland GmbH, the concept store displays an appealing and broad range of Lamy designer writing instruments and accessories.

Customers can expect ‘an outstanding brand and shopping experience with a variety of exciting Lamy products, all of which meet high standards of aesthetics and design’, promises the brand.

Karl Siegel, Regional Sales Director, Lamy, said: “In cooperation with our long-standing strategic partner Lagardère Travel Retail as well as with the airport operating company Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH, we have succeeded in opening a Lamy concept store optimally tailored to the needs of national and international travellers.

“All Lamy products are characterised by a modern lifestyle character and are therefore ideal as gifts and accessories.”

The concept space caters to the purchasing whims of national and international travellers alike.

Jochen Halfmann, CEO at Lagardère Travel Retail Deutschland, added: “With the new Lamy concept store, we are pleased to offer travellers high-quality writing instruments that can be used as ‘thinking tools’ to help them create and develop ideas, and capture memories from their travels.”

As an independent family company manufacturing almost exclusively in Heidelberg, Lamy produces in excess of eight million writing instruments annually.

It counts a presence in more than 80 countries with more than 15,600 sales outlets worldwide, including around 200 monobrand stores.
