Champagne Lanson is celebrating its 45th year of partnership with the Wimbledon Championships tournament in 2022 with specially designed gift boxes and airport activations.
As reported, TRBusiness enjoyed a preview of the Wimbledon themed champagnes at a press event that in Reims last week.
We can now reveal some more details about the two special edition Wimbledon gift box sets for Le Black Label Brut and Le Rosé, which are being showcased with activations in travel retail as well as On/Off-trade throughout the summer.
There are two versions of the gift boxes: a pink hue for Lanson Le Rosé and a dark navy for Lanson’s signature Le Black Label Brut.
Shoppers can find the activations at London City Airport in partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail (June/July/August) and at Dubai Airport in partnership with Dubai Duty Free in June and July.
“We have kicked off this year’s Wimbledon sponsorship programme with several activations both in travel retail locations and with our On and Off Trade retail partners,” said Edouard de Boissieu, Head of Travel Retail for Champagne Lanson.

As the official Champagne partner for the Wimbledon Championships, Lanson is available exclusively in all the bars and hospitality marquees within the grounds of The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club.
This year marks the centenary of the Centre Court in its current location and Champagne Lanson is celebrating the milestone by showcasing historic imagery from the last 100 years alongside renowned vintages from its cellar archive within its private suite.
VIP guests will also be able to enjoy an exclusive worldwide preview of Le Vintage 2012, which will be available to all customers later in the year.
Those who visit on Wimbledon’s Quarter Finals and Men’s Finals days will be able to taste the new bubbly alongside a menu specially created by Michelin-starred chef Ollie Dabbous, who has officially been appointed as the Lanson’s Chef Ambassador from June 2022.
“Champagne Lanson was a natural fit for me to partner with,” said Dabbous, who earned recognition on the London food scene with his eponymous restaurant in 2012 and today is at the helm of HIDE restaurant in Piccadilly.
“Their Champagnes are finessed with absolute vitality – an ideal partner to my ingredient lead and elegant menus at HIDE.”
Beyond Wimbledon, the partnership will see Dabbous create seasonal dishes to pair with Champagne Lanson cuvées – many of which will be showcased on the HIDE wine list by the glass.
