A broad spread of travel retailers have signalled their intention to attend the 2022 TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, due to return to the Palais des Festivals in Cannes (2-6 October).

These include companies from Asia Pacific such as Dufry (Hong Kong), King Power International (Thailand), Shinsegae Duty Free (South Korea) and Kansai International Airport (Japan).

Meanwhile, Motta International (Panama) and Muscat Duty Free (Oman) join ‘a number of Europe-based retailers and travel operators’ such as Gebr. Heinemann, Lagardère Travel Retail, Istanbul Airport, Inflight Sales Group, Aer Rianta International, MSC Cruises and
Fjord Line.

‘High level of interest’

The retailers bolster what TFWA said last month is a growing list of exhibitors, including leading brand companies such as L’Oréal, Shiseido, Lacoste, Nestlé, Mondelēz, Diageo, Pernod Ricard, JTI and Imperial Brands.

As reported, the event will feature a refreshed programme, from the evening ‘Get Together’ opening cocktail on Sunday at the Carlton Beach to the TFWA Lounge and the arrival of a new late night social concept, to also be hosted on the Carlton Beach.

TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen said: “The growing list of prominent retailers from all over the world confirming their presence at the event this year in Cannes is impressive.

“It is heart-warming to see again the familiar names of those who have been long-term supporters of our industry events, and we are also excited to welcome many first-time exhibitors and visitors.

“Given the high level of interest from many players big and small across the industry, I have no doubt that the event will be a success.”
