By Doug Newhouse |

DFS Group has announced the retirement of Linda Allario, SVP and General Merchandise Manager for Beauty effective April 30.

Allario is retiring after 18 year’s service and a successful career with DFS where she has held various cosmetics, luxury and beauty positions within DFS Global Merchandising, beginning at its San Francisco office.

In 2012, she received a promotion to Senior Vice President, General Merchandise Manager for Beauty and relocated to Hong Kong.

Paying tribute to her contribution, Harold Brooks, President Global Merchandising said: “Linda has played an integral role in leading the Beauty and Cosmetics business at DFS over these years and has been instrumental in establishing DFS as a world class leader in this important business pillar. The strong partnerships and relationships she has built within the beauty industry are second to none, which is a legacy that will be invaluable to our continued success.

“We are hugely appreciative of all that she has achieved and on behalf of DFS Group, I would like to express our sincere thanks to Linda for her tremendous guidance and contributions to the company over the past 18 years.”

DFS adds that Linda Allario is also an active member of a number of charitable organizations, including Hand in Hand in Haiti, Smile Train and has, on behalf of DFS, been recognized for her charitable contributions to those causes.
