Lindt & Sprüngli Travel Retail sponsors TRMarketplace confectionery webinar

By Luke Barras-hill |

The confectionery insights webinar and workshop is due to take place on Wednesday 30 September.

TRBusiness and Bluedog Productions are delighted to announce Lindt & Sprüngli Travel Retail as the latest sponsor of the TRMarketplace confectionery webinar.

The Swiss confectionery firm joins Mondelez World Travel Retail, which last month committed support to the travel retail and duty free industry’s first digital networking event (28 September – 2 October).

Lindt has also taken a TRMarketplace ‘Brand Hub’ and can take advantage of pre-booking meetings from 28 August – a month prior to TRMarketplace going live.

By backing TRMarketplace, Lindt & Sprüngli will enrich a week-long educational insights programme featuring critical knowledge, analysis and data via webinars and e-workshops, with expert input from exclusive consumer research partner m1nd-set, official beverage alcohol data partner IWSR, the Institute for International Retail (IIR), KPMG and Center 4 Duty Free, among others.

Earlier today (17 August), more information about the comprehensive e-learning programme and its associated speaker lineup was revealed.

LINDT TOASTS 175 YEARS

Peter Zehnder, Head of Lindt & Sprüngli Travel Retail commented: “Lindt & Sprüngli Travel Retail is honoured to sponsor the very first TRMarketplace confectionery webinar during this crucial time for the travel retail industry.

“We are excited to support this all-digital event that shares our principles of innovative spirit and the need to constantly adapt to meet the ever-changing demands of consumers.

“This year marks the 175th anniversary of Lindt, and we will use this milestone to celebrate our heritage while also sharing our unrivalled category expertise that has embedded our brands in the hearts of chocolate fans across the world.”

Ben Webb, International Sales & Marketing Director, TRBusiness commented: “TRBusiness and Lindt & Sprüngli Travel Retail have an extremely strong business partnership; we’re delighted to welcome the company as a brand hub owner and sponsor of the TRMarketplace confectionery webinar.

“Lindt’s enrolment comes at a critical time for the industry’s first digital networking event. With six weeks to go before TRMarketplace launches, we’re encouraging all those who haven’t registered already to do so.

“Visitors and brand hub owners should not forget that from 28 August they can begin to take advantage of the wealth of intuitive functions available on TRMarketplace,  including pre-booking meetings, browsing brand hubs and signing up in advance for webinars – a full month before TRMarketplace begins in earnest.”

The addition of Lindt in its 175th year of trading bolsters TRMarketplace’s revered lineup of the globe’s leading suppliers and brands, travel retail operators, airports, port authorities, ferry and cruise ship companies, inflight concessionaires and distributors.

Retail operators can enjoy complimentary access to TRMarketplace, while a fixed price to exhibit of GBP £4,495 (ex VAT) represents tremendous value to stakeholders.

Available to all categories, TRMarketplace will allow each supplier/brand access to a dedicated ‘Brand Hub’, where they can showcase their respective product portfolios.

Brands can upload all relevant documentation for visitors to browse and download (access restricted). Brands will even be able to facilitate the launch of new products.

Each brand representative can schedule video conferences with retailers and other partners using the platform’s secure integrated software, alleviating the need to install any third-party add-ons. The number of brand representatives is unlimited. The number of concurrent video conferences that can take place is also unlimited for each brand.

Due to popular demand, TRBusiness has extended the ‘Brand Hub’ deadline for those wishing to book until 24 August. Those who do not qualify for the visitor and supplier/brand categories at TRMarketplace can meet brands and enjoy the e-learning programme for a one-off fee of UK GBP £350 [NB: The fee precludes access to TRMarketplace visitors ].

Brand Hubs and visitors at TRMarketplace continue to rocket.
