M1nd-set: ‘Five Things You Need To Know’ on…the role of gifting in DF&TR

Here, you’ll discover five important facts – brought to you by the leading travel retail consumer research agency m1nd-set – about what you really need to know in the travel retail market, now.
In this edition m1nd-set tells us that 43% of purchases made in travel retail were made as gifts in 2019; this was higher for those in the Asia Pacific region (49%), but lower for those shopping in the Americas (40%).
Interestingly, 48% of men purchased items in duty free as gifts (this is up from 43% in 2017) but only 37% of women did the same (vs 32% in 2017).
