In this edition m1nd-set tells us that 40% of confectionery shoppers make a purchase in duty free because the product is suitable to gift while 35% say the reason they buy is because that particular product is not available in their home country.
Interestingly, almost 60% of those making confectionery purchases in duty free shops are buying at least one product which they have never bought before, meaning that this category in duty free prompts customers to experiment with new or unknown brands or products.
