In this edition m1nd-set tells us that 78% of global duty free shoppers are ‘undecided shoppers’ who rely on in-store elements to make their final purchase decision; something which will be need to be carefully scrutinsed moving forward, in a post-covid environment.
Fifty-six percent of those who choose not to visit a travel retail store say they would have been more willing to, had they been able to find examples of experiential retail.
Interestingly, 62% of shoppers surveyed by m1nd-set said they will refrain from being in proximity with retail ambassadors/sales staff in a duty free shop in the future.
