MacDuff International enjoys successful IAADFS show
By Charlotte Turner |
MacDuff International says it enjoyed a successful return to the 2014 IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas after an absence of over 10 years from the exhibition.
Building on a longstanding presence in the North American domestic markets for its Grand Macnish Scotch Whisky as well as domestic and travel retail distribution in Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay, MacDuff was targeting an expansion of its travel retail presence in the region.
Highlights of the show included the appointment of Glencairn Distribution as the company’s new agent for Canadian duty free, with listings achieved in various border stores for Lauder’s and Lauder’s Queen Mary.
The company also expects to appoint multiple new distributors in South and Central America in the follow up to the show after several very positive contacts were made.
Export Sales Director, John Scott, said, “We were delighted with the response in our return to IAADFS. It provides a unique opportunity to meet buyers from all over the Americas and provides a platform to showcase our historic brands of scotch whisky, Islay Mist, Grand Macnish and Lauder’s.”
The latest product launches showcased at IAADFS included Islay Mist Peated Reserve and Lauder’s Queen Mary. Islay Mist Peated Reserve has been specially created by second generation master blender, Gilmour Burnett.
