NEW: ‘Behind the scenes with BlackJack’ vlog series launches

BlackJack Promotions, which specialises in ‘human connections’ and is passionate about bringing brands to life, is launching a new vlogging series called ‘Behind the Scenes with BlackJack’, in association with TRBusiness.


Informed by over 25 years of creating experiences in which ‘people can lose themselves’, the new series will cover a broad range of topics including; the value of diversity in travel retail; the importance of technology in bringing brands to life, how the company has adapted during the pandemic and much more.


To initiate the launch of the new series, the company’s Brand and Retail Director, Leanne Nutter, spoke to TRBusiness in an exclusive video interview about the company’s journey to this point, how it has overcome unique challenges over the past two years and why the company continues to invest in the future of travel retail.


“There have been some really scary moments and I think that we have shown a huge amount of resilience,” said Nutter.



“Of course in the very early days we questioned, like so many did, how on earth would we survive. I think we knew our strength was in the quality of our people services and we have been able to diversify into other sectors including the NHS, covid testing etc. A few weeks ago actually we picked up an award for ‘Professional agency management of the year’ at the Field Marketing and Brand Experience Awards and that was an incredibly proud moment for us all.”



In the exclusive interview Nutter also highlights the problem of the UK’s labour shortage and how the company has been hampered in the active recruitment of talent from overseas.


“We’ve had to adapt and we’ve been doing that for a number of years through our recruitment processes. Our motto has been ‘hire the attitude and teach the rest’ for a while now, but that has probably never been more important than it is today.”
