New door contracts in the double-digits for Rodenstock following TFWA Cannes

German eyewear manufacturer Rodenstock is reaping the rewards of a successful TFWA World Exhibition & Conference.

The first-time exhibitor, which manufactures and distributes Porsche Design eyewear under licence, is set to open a number of new points of sale across travel retail as it builds on pre-existing partnerships with the likes of Dufry, China Duty Free Group and Hudson.

Petra Eckhardt-Koestler, Head of Travel Retail said: “We had an excellent time at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. The show was the perfect showcase for our products, which provide a new vision of style which the travel retail market was very excited to discover.

“Our booth provided us with a fabulous location to build on our existing standing within the market, following our debut at the Singapore show earlier in the year.”

POP-UPS AND HPPS TO COME

During the Cannes show, the company showcased a selection of models from its latest collection, with visitors to the stand reportedly enthused by the Retro collection and Readers line.

As a result of meetings with new and existing partners, the company is now planning for new marketing activities in 2020, including pop-up stores and high-profile campaigns.

“Rodenstock is the perfect blend of high-quality and luxury fashion with classic styling and we have a very exciting few months to come as our global expansion gathers pace,” Eckhardt-Koestler added.

“Our discussions in Cannes opened the doors to a number of very exciting new opportunities and developments to come in the next year which will help secure our growth within the travel retail sector and on the world stage.”
