Nile Rodgers and Chic star at TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes

By Kevin Rozario |

In its 30th anniversary year, TFWA World Exhibition & Conference will feature disco-era legend, Nile Rodgers, together with band Chic as the star turn at Le Premium Evening – the closing gala social event of the show.

Rodgers, the multi-Grammy award winning American musician, producer, composer, arranger, and guitarist who led the band Chic to chart-topping success in the late 70s with hits such as Le Freak, Good Times and I Want Your Love, was also instrumental in the success of Sister Sledge.

Rodgers will lead Chic on stage for the musical finale on the night of the 30th October at the Port Canto. “You can expect a real party atmosphere that night as well as a sumptuous dinner created by master chef Régis Marcon, holder of three Michelin stars every year since 2005,” Erik Juul-Mortensen, President of TFWA tells TRBusiness.

For TFWA World Exhibition’s 30th birthday, the organiser also promises a few more surprises. “Visitors can expect some celebrations during the week such as festive banners and decorations around the show, an anniversary reception on the terrace after the conference, and extra sparkle at the Welcome Cocktail and at Le Premium Evening,” adds Juul-Mortensen.
