Food2Smile, represented by Brands of Style, is celebrating being announced as a finalist in the consumer-voted Global Travel Retail Awards 2022, organised by TRBusiness and m1nd-set.

The company is listed alongside 15 other finalists in the ‘Best Confectionery and Fine Foods Product’ category for its Ready to Smile Box containing the sugar- and gluten-free Happy Sour gummies, the gluten-free and vegan Apple Pie Bar, and the Popped Chips Barbecue, which are described as ‘a source of protein and high in fibre’.

“To be a finalist makes me extremely proud,” said Miriam Bouwens, nutritionist and Founder of Food2Smile, which has a growing range of sugar-free (no added sugar) candy, chocolate, chips and snacks.

“After years of research and development, we have succeeded in making super tasty sweets with considerably less sweetener and extra fibre.

“Thanks to Elena Bloothoofd of Brands of Style who made our entry for these prestigious awards possible.

“We are ready to rock the boat.”

The Global Travel Retail Awards are judged by a panel of 2,000 consumers who have travelled internationally in the past six months.

The winners will be announced at seated dinner ceremony on Monday 3 October in Cannes, during the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference.

In addition to all of its products being sugar-free, 90% of the Food2Smile assortment is vegan and free from gluten and lactose.

The products feature natural colourings and flavourings extracted from vegetables, fruit and herbs, without the use of pork gelatine.

The company is currently working on a strategy for launching into travel retail.
